UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency has issued the Merchant Guidance Note (MGN) regarding nuclear ships.
This MGN is addressed to all shipowners, operators, masters, officers, maritime administrations, port authorities and recognised organisations.
It has been published on December 1st 2022, and should be read with the Merchant Shipping (Nuclear Ships) Regulations 2022.
This notice provides guidance on the application of the Merchant Shipping (Nuclear Ships) Regulations 2022 (SI 2022/1169), which regulate UK commercial nuclear-powered ships and foreign commercial nuclear-powered ships visiting UK waters.
