The UAE Federal Maritime Administration (FMA) represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has issued a circular about the implementation of the Resolution MSC.501(105).
This circular was published on April 5th, 2023, and is addressed to all port authorities in UAE, classification societies, UAE shipowners, ship management companies, shipping agents, and freight forwarders.
Within the regulatory framework of the UAE Federal Maritime Administration (FMA), represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, FMA has adopted from the date of issuance of the Resolution MSC.501(105) for the year 2022 (Amendments to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code) relating to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974, as amended, attached to this circular.
All addressed entities should fully comply with the requirements of the Resolution and provide the FMA upon request with a copy of the procedures and documents required for full compliance with the requirements of the resolution.
