The Suez Canal Authority renews circular regarding the LPG carriers

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has renewed the Circular (4/2020) concerning Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) carriers.

The Suez Canal Authority has decided to extend the validity of Circular No. (4/2020) and its subsequent periodic updates, initially issued on 18 December 2022.

This circular pertains to the operation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carriers, whether laden or in ballast, that operate between the East Coast of the Americas and the US Gulf, and the regions of India and its Eastern ports.

The extension will maintain the effectiveness of these regulations until 31 December 2023, which marks the final allowable departure date from the originating port.
