Emirates Classification Society (TASNEEF) has published a Guide for the Ship Condition Assessment Program (CAP) The guide is effective from 01 September 2022.
This guide aims to provide Interested Parties with the criteria followed by TASNEEF to carry out a Condition Assessment Program (CAP) in order to assign a rating based on the condition of a ship, independently of its classification.
The guide defines the field of application and presents the CAP rating system. The guide also lists all the documentation requirements and explains the scope of the CAP survey and how the survey report is carried out with the results being summarized in the CAP final report.
The procedure for carrying out the CAP survey is applicable to both ships classed with TASNEEF and not.
