Emirates Classification Society (TASNEEF) has recently issued three documents amending its rules for the classification of vessels.
On January 1st, 2023, TASNEEF published Amendments to the “Tasneef Rules for the Classification of Ships” that entered into force on the same date.
Amendments to Part B of the “Rules for the Classification of Pleasure Yachts” and Amendments to Part B of the “Rules for the Classification of Yachts Designed for Commercial Use” were published and entered into force on February 1st, 2023.
Amendments to the “Tasneef Rules for the Classification of Ships”
Changes were made in the following parts:
- Part A –Classification and Surveys,
- Part B -Hull and Stability,
- Part C - Machinery, Systems and Fire Protection,
- Part D –Materials and Welding,
- Part E –Service Notations, and
- Part F –Additional Class Notations.
Amendments to Part B of the “Rules for the Classification of Pleasure Yachts”
Changes were made in sections 5 (Plating) and 7 (Double Bottom).
Amendments to Part B of the “Rules for the Classification of Yachts Designed for Commercial Use”
Changes were also made in sections 5 (Plating) and 7 (Double Bottom).
