Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has issued a navigation circular about vessels refusing or abstaining from upon-transit inspection.
This circular was issued on March 19th, 2023, and will become effective on April 1st, 2023.
This circular applies to all navy ships or auxiliary ships owned by Ministries of Defence or any other military party in countries, and to vessels (commercial or chartered to any military party) refusing or abstaining from upon-transit inspection.
It also clarifies how the transit dues are collected, as well as which additional charges apply to those vessels.
