Suez Canal Authority issued information for vessels coming from America and heading to Asia

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has issued a navigation circular intended for vessels coming from America and heading to Asia.

The Suez Canal Authority has determined that Circular No. (2/2016) and its subsequent revisions dated 13 July 2016, 27 September 2020, and 18 December 2022, which provide discounts to loaded or empty "Containerships" originating from East Coast American ports and bound for ports in South and Southeast Asia, will continue to be effective until 31 December 2023.

The final allowable departure date from the "port of origin" is set as 31 December 2023.
