The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore on 22 September 2023 issued a circular informing about the implementation of the Just in Time Planning and Coordination Platform.
Starting 1 October 2023, the Just in Time Planning and Coordination Platform (JIT Platform) operates fully for vessels at PSA Terminal and Jurong Port.
Ship agents, liners, and marine service providers are encouraged to use the JIT Platform to optimize vessel arrivals and departures.
By January 2024, the JIT Platform will expand to include tankers and all vessels at anchorages.
JIT Platform offers advanced vessel schedule information to reduce waiting time and fuel consumption, leading to cost savings and lower emissions.
Marine service providers can use real-time data to optimize resource deployment.
MPA has conducted training sessions since July 2023 for ship agents, towage service providers, and bunker suppliers to familiarize them with the JIT Platform.
More training will follow, and user guides and videos will be available on digitalPORT@SGTM.
