Panama publishes circular on the issuance of tonnage certificates

The Panama Maritime Authority has issued a merchant marine circular regarding the issuance of tonnage certificates.

The circular was published on January 1st, 2023.

The procedure for issuing the International Tonnage Certificate (ITC69) is detailed in this circular.

Also, the cases in which the Administration will re-issue the Tonnage Certificate are listed in this document.

The determination of gross and net tonnages for vessels less than 24m in length is explained in section 4 of this circular.
