The Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus on 29 February 2024 issued circular No. 9/2024 listing the approved doctors for seafarers' medical examinations and certificate issuance.
This circular replaces the previous Circular No. 1/2023 and mandates that medical examinations for seafarers must be conducted by approved doctors listed in the circular or by doctors in government hospitals. The list includes various medical specialists.
The circular is addressed to all Registered Owners, Registered Bareboat Charterers, Managers, and Representatives of ships flying the Cyprus flag, as well as to all Owners, Managers, Representatives, and Ship Agents of ships calling at Cyprus Ports.
Notification P.I. 39/2024 supersedes the previous Notification of 2022 (P.I.411/2022) and includes the Greek official version.
The document must be displayed on Cyprus-flagged vessels.
