Liberia Maritime Authority has issued the Marine Notice ISM-003, Rev. 01/23 addressed to all shipowners, operators, masters and officers of merchant ships, and Liberian auditors.
This document provides guidance related to the Administration's program for harmonized certification audits for compliance with the ISM and ISPS Codes, and MLC, 2006 (ISM/ISPS/MLC).
It also describes how companies operating Liberian ships seeking harmonized ISM/ISPS/MLC verification and certification can receive a Safety Management Certificate (SMC), International Ship Security Certificate (ISSC), and Maritime Labour (ML) Certificate through a single harmonized audit.
This Marine Notice was published on January 6th, 2023, and supersedes the Marine Notice ISM-003, published in June 2012.
Marine Notice ISM-003, Rev. 01/23 is applicable to all Liberian registered vessels that are required to comply with the ISM and ISPS Codes and MLC, 2006 may participate in the Administration’s harmonized ISM/ISPS/MLC audit program.
