KR: Introduction to the Classification Technical Rules 2023

Korean Register (KR) has published the Introduction to the Classification Technical Rules 2023.

KR's Classification Technical Rules are divided into two categories: "Rules" and "Guidances."

The term "Rules" encompasses all regulations pertaining to the classification of ships, offshore installations, related equipment, and so on.

On the other hand, "Guidance Relating to the Rules" provides detailed instructions regarding the interpretation of specific provisions for items requiring unified interpretations or those not explicitly mentioned in the Rules.

The complete list of Classification Technical Rules can be found in section 1. 2.1.3 of the Amendments to the Classification Technical Rules.

Any amendments that must be implemented before the publication of the Classification Technical Rules are released without a printed copy of the entire Rules or the Guidances.
