KR has amended its Technical Rules to reflect IACS and IMO Resolutions

Korean Register (KR) on 1 September 2023 published an article informing that amendments to the KR Technical Rules have been made to reflect IACS Resolutions and IMO Resolutions.

These amendments are applicable to all ships constructed on or after 1 January 2024.

Amendments:

• Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships Pt 7 Ch 5: IACS UR G5 (New Dec 2022)
• Rules for the Classification of Ships using Low-Flashpoint Fuels: Res.MSC.458(101)
• Guidance for the Classification of Ships using Low-Flashpoint Fuels: IACS UI GF 13 (Rev.1 May 2023)

Also, these amendments will be included in the 2024 edition of Classification Technical Rules which will be published in the first half of 2024.
