KR amends the Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships Pt 1

Korean Register (KR) on 7 August 2023 published an article informing about the amendments to the KR Technical Rules (Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships Pt 1).

The 2023 Classification Technical Rules have been amended to reflect the Requests for Establishment/Revision of Classification Technical Rules.

Amendments:

Reflected IACS PR1C (Addendum Rev.8 to PR1C Rev.6 June 2023)

In case of postponement due to COVID-19, the agreed period is revised up to a maximum of three (3) months

Application:

On or after 20th Aug. 2023 (Refer to the Effective date specified in Par.1)

Also, these amendments will be included in the 2024 edition of Classification Technical Rules which will be published in the first half of 2024.
