KR amends guidance relating to the Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships

Korean Register (KR) on 27 September 2023 published an article informing about the release of amendments to its Technical Rules (Guidance Relating to the Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships Pt 6).

These amendments have been made to the following KR Technical Rules 2023 as an attachment to reflect IACS Resolutions and Requests for Establishment/Revision of Classification Technical Rules.

Amendments:

• IACS UR M63 (Rev. 1 Jan 2023)

These amendments are applicable from 1 January 2023 (the date of the contract for construction) and will be included in the 2024 edition of KR Classification Technical Rules which will be published in the first half of 2024.
