Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) has recently released three revised offshore rules referring to construction and classification.
Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units
The July 2023 version of the 'Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units' is now in effect, replacing the July 2022 edition.
It includes amendments from both Rules Change Notice No.1 of September 2022 and Rules Change Notice No. 2 of March 2023.
To facilitate users' reference, a summary of the additions and amendments from the Rule Change Notices issued since July 2022, along with their effective dates, is provided in the respective tables.
Additionally, this edition of the Rules includes further amendments made after the publication of Rules Change Notice No. 2 of March 2023.
These amendments are specified in Table 1.
Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Floating Offshore Units
The latest edition of the 'Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Floating Offshore Units' (July 2023) replaces the previous July 2022 edition.
This current version includes amendments made after the July 2022 edition was published, which are listed in Table 1.
Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Fixed Offshore Steel Structures
The current version of the 'Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Fixed Offshore Steel Structures' (July 2023) replaces the previous July 2022 edition.
This updated edition includes modifications made after the publication of the July 2022 edition, which are listed in Table 1.
