Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) has published the revised Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Steel Ships and the related Handbook of Notations.
The July 2023 consolidated version of the 'Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Steel Ships' supersedes the previous July 2022 edition and includes amendments from the following Rules Change Notices:
- a) September 2022,
- b) December 2022, and
- c) March 2023.
To make it easier for users to reference, a summary of the additions and amendments from the various Rules Change Notices issued since July 2022, along with their effective dates, is provided in respective tables.
This edition of the Rules also incorporates amendments made after the publication of Rules Change Notice No. 3 in March 2023. These amendments are listed in Table 1.
Table 2 contains the corrigenda that were issued after the publication of Rules Change Notice No. 3 in March 2023.
These documents were published on 1 June 2023 and became effective on 1 July 2023.
