IRClass changes Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Steel Ships and issues a Handbook of Notations
Indian Register of Shipping (IRclass) has changed its Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Steel Ships and issued a Handbook of Notations that covers notations that are included in the Rules and Regulations for Construction and Classification of Steel Ships.
These documents have been published on December 1st, 2022.
Changes of the Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Steel Ships
This Rules Change Notice gives amendments to the ‘Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Steel Ships’ and entered in force on December 1st, 2022.
These amendments are to be read in conjunction with the requirements given in the July, 2022 edition of the Rules and ‘Rules Change Notice No. 1 dated September 2022’.
Handbook of Notations
This handbook has been prepared to give general information about the various types of Class Notations, symbols etc. to describe vessels under Classification, which are commonly used by the Indian Register of Shipping and are indicated on the Class Certificate.
The handbook covers notations that are included in the Rules and Regulations for Construction and Classification of Steel Ships.
