IMO revises Continuity of Service Plan for the LRIT System
The International Maritime Organization has issued the circular revising the Continuity of service plan for the LRIT system.
This circular has been issued on November 28th, 2022.
The Maritime Safety Committee, at its 106th session (2 to 11 November 2022), approved amendments to the Continuity of service plan for the LRIT (Long-Range Identification and Tracking) system (MSC.1/Circ.1376/Rev.4), prepared by the Sub-Committee on Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue (NCSR), at its ninth session (NCSR 9/24/Add.1, annex 6).
This circular incorporates the aforesaid amendments.
SOLAS Contracting Governments are invited to bring this circular to the attention of those engaged in the operation of their LRIT Data Centres and of the International LRIT Data Exchange.
This revised circular revokes MSC.1/Circ.1376/Rev.4 issued on 14 June 2019.
Any reference to MSC.1/Circ.1376/Rev.4 or any of its previous versions should be read as reference to this circular.
