Hong Kong warns vessels of Construction of Subsea Pipeline off Black Point Power Station and to the South of Cheung Chau
Hong Kong Marine Department warns passing vessels that construction will take place as of 24th of January for approximately two months for Black Point and three months for Cheung Chau. The exact coordinates of construction can be found in Marine Department Notice NO. 24/2022 and Marine Department Notice NO. 21/2022.
A working area of approximately 50 metres around each working vessel will be established and yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the working vessels.
Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work, so vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the area, bearing in mind there are divers working underwater.
The Notice No. 24 should be read in conjunction with Marine Department Notice No. 184/2021 and Notice No. 21 should be read in conjunction with Marine Department Notice No. 210/2021.
