Lloyd's Register has published the Guidance Notes for Class Approval of Engine Power Limitation (EPL) and Shaft Power Limitation (SHaPoLi) Equipment.
These guidance notes have been published on November 1st, 2022.
This Guidance is intended for shipowners and ship operators seeking approval for the installation of EPL/SHaPoLi equipment on board specific ships, for diesel engine or steam turbine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) seeking approval for EPL/SHaPoLi (as applicable) equipment as part of their OEM product offering, and for third party equipment suppliers seeking approval of their EPL/SHaPoLi product.
