EU adopts Decision 2023/1586 on harmonised standards for machinery

The European Commission on 26 July 2023 adopted Decision 2023/1586 on harmonised standards for machinery drafted in support of Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This Decision became effective on 2 August 2023.

Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/436 is repealed. However, it shall continue to apply to the references of harmonised standards listed in Annex III to this Decision until the dates of withdrawal of those references set out in that Annex.

This Decision refers to A, B, and C-type standards of machinery.
