On 31 July 2023, European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) on its website informed about the new report on oil pollution response operations at sea.
EMSA added:
"This report is the result of an external study to evaluate the feasibility of the development of an enhanced tool to support Member States in their preparedness and operational decision-making process of mobilising and deploying oil pollution response resources at sea.
The main goal of this project is to gather information on existing tools to evaluate the feasibility of the development of an enhanced IT system and to define its functional and technical requirements."
