ClassNK revises Cruise Ship Biosafety Management System Certification Guidelines for Covid-19

Classification Society Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) has published the revised Cruise Ship Biosafety Management System Certification Guidelines for Covid-19.

These Guidelines were published on March 1st, 2023.

The purpose of this document is to clarify the specific methodologies and framework for ClassNK for the audit and certification of preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus that will be implemented by cruisers and to make certification as simple as possible.

Also, the purpose of these Guidelines is to assess compliance and effectiveness in relation to the requirements of biosecurity management system certification to prevent the spread of Covid-19 on cruise ships and to issue a Statement of Compliance to such ships.
