ClassNK amends its Rules and Guidance for the Survey and Construction of Passenger Ships

Classification Society ClassNK released amendments to its Rules and Guidance for the Survey and Construction of Passenger Ships dated December 27, 2022.

The amendments entered into force on 1 January 2023.

Amendments to the Rules for the Survey and Construction of Passenger Ships refer to the following:

• Part 2 Class Survey - Chapter 1 General, Chapter 2 Classification Surveys
• Part 4 Subdivision and Stability - Chapter 4 Intact Stability

In the amendment to "Amendment to the Rules for the Survey and Construction of Passenger Ships (Rule No.66 Dated 27 December 2021)" the effective date and application were amended.

Amendments of Guidance for the Survey and Construction of Passenger Ships refer to the Hull, Equipment, and Fire Extinguishing Systems (Part 2, Chapter 4).
