China Classification Society (CCS) has updated the Onboard Carbon Capture and Storage System.
Scope of Application
This guideline pertains to the Onboard Carbon Capture System (OCCS) utilized in the evaluation, approval, and inspection processes conducted by the China Classification Society (CCS).
Its primary objective is the mitigation of carbon dioxide emissions from combustion devices, such as engines and boilers.
Specifically, this guideline is designed for OCCS employing the chemical absorption method with an organic amine solution as the absorbent.
In instances where alternative methods are employed or where OCCS is integrated with other systems, this guideline may serve as a reference, with the stipulation that the combined system undergoes a separate evaluation.
