CCS published the Rule Change Notice for Rules for Materials and Welding

China Classification Society (CCS) has published the Rule Change Notice RCN No. 1 / 2023 for Rules for Materials and Welding.

Changes are made in Part One, Metallic Materials:

• Chapter 2: Material tests (Section 9: Pitting corrosion test for duplex stainless steels), and
• Chapter 3: Steel plates, flat bars, and sections (Section 8: Austenitic and duplex stainless steels).

These changes will become effective on 1 January 2024.
