Australia publishes new edition of the Mariner's Handbook for Australian Waters

The Department of Defence of the Australian Government and Australian Hydrographic Office published the new edition of the Mariner's Handbook for Australian Waters.

This 5th edition was released on March 1st, 2023. It contains significant updates and revisions and replaces the previous edition.

This document contains information intended for international and Australian commercial vessels operating in Australian waters as required by the SOLAS Convention and the Navigation Act 2012 (Cth).

It also provides information to enable such vessels to operate safely in accordance with relevant maritime rules and regulations for navigation in Australian waters, as well as advice and emergency contacts.
