The Australian Federal Register of Legislation has issued a compilation No. 5 of Biosecurity (Conditionally Non-prohibited Goods) Determination 2021 that is made under subsection 174(1) of the Biosecurity Act 2015.
The document was published on October 28th, 2022 and it entered into force on September 7th, 2022.
The amendments incorporated into this new version are under section 17 Alternative conditions—meat and meat products, subsection 2.
The changes are:
- at the end of the cell at table item 1, column 2 was added:
and (d) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMD‑free country
- at the end of the cell at table item 3, column 2 was added:
(d) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—the goods:
(i) have been commercially manufactured; and
(ii) are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMD‑free country
- at the end of the cell at table item 4, column 2 was added:
and (c) are commercially manufactured; and
(d) are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMD‑free country
- at the end of the cell at table item 5, column 2 was added:
and (c) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMD‑free country
Also in table item 5, column 2, paragraph (a) the word prepared is substituted with the word manufactured.
Additionally, in table item 6, column 2 paragraph (d) was substituted with the following:
(d) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine or ovine animals—the goods:
and two subparagraphs were added:
(i) have been commercially manufactured; and
(ii) are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMD‑free country
In table item 8, column 2, subparagraph (b)(iv) was substituted and subparagraph (v) was added:
(iv) are for personal use; and
(v) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMD‑free country
