Amendments to the IMO Codes entering into force in 2024

In 2024, numerous amendments to the IMO Codes will enter into force. Most of them will enter into force on January 1st, 2024, and only four on July 1st of the same year.

These are amendments to the IMDG, FSS, IGF, MODU, HSC, LSA, SPS, IGC, ESP, and IBC Codes.

The exception is Resolution MSC.527(106) related to the International Code of Safety for Ships Carrying Industrial Personnel (IP Code). Resolution MSC.527(106) does not include amendments because the IP Code was recently adopted for the first time.

The International Maritime Organization issued most of these documents in 2022.

These are the resolutions adopted by the IMO Maritime Safety Committee, only one of the resolutions listed below was adopted by the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee.
