Marine Department Malaysia issued a notice regarding the gazettement of the Merchant Shipping (Collision Regulations) (Amendment) Order 2023.
The notice is addressed to shipowners, ship managers, ship agents, Masters, seafarers, port operators, Recognized Organizations, and the maritime industry.
It informs stakeholders about the amendments to the Merchant Shipping (Collision Regulations) Order 1984, which are based on amendments made in 2000 and 2023.
The notice advises all concerned parties to take note of and comply with the changes.
The effective enforcement date of these amendments, which are attached to this notice, is August 29, 2023.

The notice is issued by the Director General of Marine on September 4, 2023.
